strange day, strange week. off from work because of winter break. spent most of it in kid related activities anyway, babysitting or lesson planning. also went into the city to visit my mom only to have to return five hours later because i left a candle burning in my room. went back though yesterday and laughed a lot. my time with her is always so limited and sometimes feels limited in other ways...

my new teaching placement is potentially the bomb. i have six students in my class, with diagnoses ranging from bipolar to high functioning autism. i am in love with them all already. knowing the struggles of these students makes the successes we have all the more amazing. they are all so exceptional. regulating emotions is definitely...

why do snow globes make me weepy
I love teaching. It’s so wonderful to wake up every morning excited for the day. The kids really bring out the very best in me.
